Title of Motion: Request from Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication – for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – BA in Content Creation
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The BA in Content Creation develops versatile storytellers skilled in multimedia creation, social media strategy, and integrated communication. Graduates are prepared to operate entrepreneurially as influencers as content creators, and move fluidly across projects and clients, advancing storytelling in livestreaming, podcasting, videography, immersive media, writing, graphics, and emerging mediums.
