Title of Motion: Request from Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication – for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – BA in Sports Strategic Communication
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The Bachelor of Arts program in sports strategic communication prepares students to succeed in the dynamic world of sports media. Students develop expertise in strategic communication, multimedia storytelling, brand management and sports marketing in a city with five pro sports teams.
