Title of Motion: Request from Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation – Division for Advancing Education Policy, Practice and Leadership – for the establishment of a graduate degree – Certificate in Organizational Behavior Management
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The graduate certificate in organizational behavior management (OBM) is a five-course program designed to equip professionals with the skills to apply behavioral principles to enhance organizational performance and staff management. The curriculum encompasses key areas such as performance management, staff training and supervision, behavioral systems analysis, and leadership within human service settings. Participants will engage in both theoretical learning and practical applications, preparing them to effectively address workplace challenges and improve organizational outcomes, applying skills such as staff performance assessment and evidence-based interventions, leadership, consultation, and team management.
