Title of Motion: ACD 506-06: Appointments of Career-Track Faculty

Action Requested: This motion takes a section deleted from ACD 505-02: “Faculty Membership, Appointment Categories, Ranks, and Titles” and creates a new policy directed explicitly to career-track faculty. I is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision. 

Rationale: This policy was previously included in a policy dealing with all faculty. Its focus on fixed term appointments, which are only applicable to career-track faculty, did not fit with the revised policy.
