Title of Motion: Request from the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences – School of Humanities, Arts, and Cultural Studies – for the transfer of an undergraduate degree – BA in Latin American Studies – From: School of Humanities, Arts, and Cultural Studies – To: School of Transborder Studies

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: New College, in collaboration with The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, proposes relocating the Latin American Studies BA and Minor programs from the School of Humanities, Arts and Cultural Studies (West Valley campus) to the School of Transborder Studies (Tempe campus). This proposal is based on long-term enrollment patterns and an opportunity to enhance the program’s visibility and alignment within the broader academic landscape.
