Title of Motion: Request from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering – School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence – for the establishment of a graduate degree – MS in Artificial Intelligence
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence will develop the next generation of scientists and engineers capable of advancing the state of the art in AI. Students will acquire specialized knowledge and abilities pertaining to research methods in Artificial Intelligence, encompassing sophisticated techniques for autonomous decision-making, perception, reasoning, statistical learning and embodied intelligence.
