Title of Motion: Request from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering – The Polytechnic School – for the establishment of a graduate degree – MS in Artificial Intelligence in Information Technology
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The proposed MS degree in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Information Technology is designed to equip students to be successful in today’s technology-driven environment which is being empowered by artificial intelligence. Information Technology uses AI to enhance and automate processes in many applications: data analysis and management, cybersecurity, software development, predictive maintenance, and fraud detection.
