Title of Motion: Request from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law – Dean’s Office – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Intellectual Property Law

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: The Certificate in Intellectual Property Law within ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law will play a pivotal role in preparing currently enrolled ASU College of Law JD and LLM students for careers in the rapidly evolving legal field of intellectual property, which is directly in line with ASU’s design aspirations to both enable student success and engage with national and global issues.
