Title of Motion: Request from Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions – School of Community Resources and Development – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Social Sector Fundamentals
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: Students will develop skills in cross-sectoral governance, strategic management of social purpose organizations, resource development, and ethical leadership. The curriculum provides a comprehensive understanding of social sector operations, preparing participants for diverse roles in community-based organizations, social enterprises, and public-private partnerships.
