Title of Motion: Request from Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation – Division for Advancing Education Policy, Practice and Leadership – for the establishment of an undergraduate degree – BS in Behavior Analysis
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: Students will develop foundational knowledge in the scientific study of behavior, including behavior measurement, data analysis, research methodologies and intervention strategies designed to enhance socially significant behaviors. The program will integrate rigorous coursework with experiential learning opportunities, equipping graduates to immediately contribute to various professional environments, including health care, education, social services and organizational management.
