Title of Motion: Request from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences – Dean’s Office –

for the disestablishment of an undergraduate degree – BS in Technological Leadership

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: With the forthcoming closure of the Interplanetary Initiative — which has provided both the instructional staffing and financial support for the BS and minor in Technological Leadership — The College does not have the resources, faculty capacity or faculty expertise to sustain these programs. Given the limited number of enrolled students and the absence of a viable path for continuation, disestablishment of both the major and the minor is requested.
