Title of Motion: Request from College of Health Solutions – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Fundamentals of Health Care Systems

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: The graduate microcertificate in Fundamentals of Health Care Systems provides learners with a foundational understanding of health systems in the U.S. Through coursework emphasizing health systems design, economics and policy, process engineering, and management, students will gain practical skills in systems thinking, stakeholder analysis, and performance improvement.
