Title of Motion: Request from the School of Technology for Public Health – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Artificial Intelligence for Public Health

Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.   

Rationale: The microcertificate in Artificial Intelligence for Public Health (AI4PH), offered by the School of Technology for Public Health (STPH) in ASU Health, provides focused, applied training in how artificial intelligence and machine learning can be used to improve public and population health. Students learn to analyze complex health data, evaluate model performance, and apply ethical frameworks to guide the responsible use of AI in public health decision-making.
