Title of Motion: Request from the School of Technology for Public Health – for the establishment of a graduate certificate – Public Health Technology
Action Requested: This curricular proposal has received all college, school, unit and university administrative approvals, and is being presented to the Senate for review and voting decision.
Rationale: The microcertificate in Public Health Technology, offered by the School of Technology for Public Health in ASU Health, provides focused, applied training in how technology can be used to improve population health. Students learn to evaluate digital health interventions, assess ethical and equity implications of data and artificial intelligence, and apply systems and design thinking to develop practical technology-based solutions.
